Corporate Governance

Pride believes its corporate governance promotes the ethical business practices that are vital for its affiliates and the environments in which they operate. Customers, communities and employees, demand—and deserve—to do business with companies they can trust. Corporate governance helps its affiliates achieve uncompromising honesty and integrity in all its dealings because affiliates understand it is hard to earn trust in today’s market place. Pride has built its business on a commitment to trust.

Pride has a ‘Code of Ethics’ and ‘Business Conduct Practices’ that are applicable to directors, officers and employees and helps them convey trust in everything they do. Pride trains its employees to understand their duties with respect to the ‘Code of Ethics’. The ‘Code of Ethics’ is about the ‘right way to operate’ in all aspects as opposed to the ‘right to operate’. Pride’s corporate governance standards are higher than any legal minimum.

A team of strong business leaders serve as independent directors and lead Pride’s board and system of corporate governance. Their primary responsibility is to provide effective governance over affiliate affairs. Each of the Board of Directors has led Audit Committees, Compensation Committees and Governance Committees that are composed of independent outside directors too.

Pride takes its commitment seriously, and wishes to keep building, as long as it remains in business. The Board implements annually-reviewed guidelines that serve as the foundation for the corporate governance system that all affiliates follow.
